I have been using TAF Solutions' services since 2012, shortly after arriving in Australia. Lynne is a patient and attentive listener, and asks detailed questions to unravel each strand of the story, zooming in on each detail so as to have a comprehensive understanding of one's financial situation, no matter how intricate. Her approach is structured and organised; her advice is to the point, and most of all, very clear on what you should do, when you should do it and in what order.

During our initial conversation, Lynne took the time to understand my financial situation and advised me on concrete steps I should take right away in order to secure my savings and assets effectively. What impressed me the most was that the observations she made were not woolly as happens often with financial matters, but quite on the contrary, razor sharp, to the point and most of all, directly applicable. She took control of my tax returns, and gave me a list of things I needed to do straight away to organise my finances in a more effective way. This was exactly what I needed, and I am very grateful for her help.

Her advice has been invaluable since this first meeting: Lynne empowered my wife to start her own business in confidence, navigating and helping her through the required financial formalities and taxation.

Up until our retirement in May 2009, we operated a medical practice in Cranbourne for over 22 years. Being a solo practice, we were constantly busy with not just a large patient base but also with compliance related paperwork. In caring for our patients, we upheld best care at all times and carried out our work with ethics and integrity. This resulted in the practice having many loyal patients over the years. Naturally, we were keen to search for service providers with similar qualities.

We first came across Lynne Russon in 1999. Right from the first meeting, we felt totally at ease in discussing our financial and tax affairs with her.

Lynne:

Always acts in our best interest. If a similar outcome can be achieved in less time or at a lower cost (for example if we easily can do something ourselves), she would always suggest that first. She makes the effort to understand what we are trying to achieve even when we cant clearly phrase the questions we need to ask.
Explains complex tax issues in a way that we can follow and always encourages us to question things until we have understood and are comfortable with things. We are never made to feel silly about asking anything.
Is forward looking and brings to our attention opportunities available to our family before it ever became popular. In as early as 2007, she alerted us to estate planning opportunities within super funds (even though as an Accountant, this is not her role). It's only now, two years after we have changed financial planners, that this issue is brought to our attention by our new financial planner. Years before we had retired and before we even considered its ramifications, she thought of ways that we could re structure our affairs in a tax effective manner when heading into retirement. An example of this is her encouragement for us to salary sacrifice into superannuation way before successive governments introduced changes curbing its use.
Understands that we are busy and takes a practical approach in helping us with our records. The number of times we have stressed over BAS' and the books - Lynne has always been able to provide an efficient solution.

Through her actions, we feel valued by her and that were not just another client. Lynne's former boss spoke highly of her technical skills. Being from medical and nursing backgrounds, we understand that the law and professional bodies can only prescribe a minimum standard of practice. Finding someone in any profession who carries out their work both at the highest standard and with genuine concern for their clients (even ahead of their own financial interests) is rare indeed.

In financial, as in medical matters, trust is crucial. We trust Lynne fully to not only help us achieve the best outcome using up to date lawful strategies but to always put our interests first when she is acting for us.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Lynne for almost 7 years, from the time I was an owner in an audio visual business which I had co founded. She directed us appropriately in tax minimisation and maximising profitability through her ability to read business trends.

The business was growing exponentially. As such, all of my time and energy was spent on catering for all the work generating from the growth. I trusted that my business partners were also busily doing their part for our business. I did not take time out to reassess the situation nor seek independent advice. As it turned out, this trust was misplaced.

After the unfortunate ending to this saga, I then sort Lynne out for further assistance "in putting my financial situation back together again". I can only adulate that after 3-4 years of Lynne's advice and guidance that I have been able to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
